Home Remedies for Dark Circles

In today’s unhealthy stressful life the one thing that comes and stays with your eyes is the dark circles. Dark circles make your appearance dull and tired all the time. There are so many eye creams and eye serums available in the market but they are expensive for the little quantity.

That’s why I have got you a few home remedies for dark circles.


1. Lemon Juice

Lemon is loaded with vitamin C and citric acid which helps in tightening under-eye skin and reducing the dark circles.

  • Get the fresh lemon juice
  • Dip cotton balls into the lemon juice
  • Put it on your eyes for 10 minutes
  • Do this every day

2. Lemon Juice, Tomato juice, Chickpea flour

Tomatoes help in lighten the skin drastically as they have skin bleaching properties. Chickpea contains vitamin A which provides nourishment for the eyes.

  • Get lemon juice, Tomato juice, chickpea flour
  • Mix it in a bowl and prepare a thick paste.
  • Apply the paste around eyes keeps it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Rinse it with water.
  • Do this everyday

3. Coconut Oil

In order to reduce the dark circles, we need to have the under-eye skin hydrated. What else is better than coconut oil to treat dry and delicate skin?

  • Apply Coconut oil around the eyes
  • Massage it gently around the eyes.
  • Leave it for a few hours.
  • Rinse it with water.
  • Do this everyday

4. Tea

Tea has caffeine and anti-oxidants, so it is very helpful in reducing dark circles.

  • Keep Tea bags in the fridge for a half-hour in the water
  • Keep the cold tea bags on your eyes
  • Leave it for 10 to 25 minutes
  • Do this twice a week

You can use green tea bags also. Avoid the tea water getting into eyes.

5. Turmeric and pineapple juice

Turmeric is a magical ingredient for beauty which has so many benefits.

  • Turmeric powder mix with pineapple juice make a paste
  • Apply this paste under the eye.
  • keep it for 10 minutes
  • Wipe it with cotton and wash with water.
  • Do this twice week

6. Almond oil

Almond oil contains retinol, vitamin E, and vitamin K, which can keep the delicate skin under your eyes smooth without irritating it.

  • Apply almond oil under the eyes before sleeping
  • Rinse it in the morning
  • Do this everyday
